From the 19th to the 22nd of March, postdoctoral researcher Edgar Zavala Pelayo taught a 4-days course on ‘Religion and Power in Latin America’ at Universidad de Salamanca’s Instituto de Iberoamerica.  The course introduced master and doctoral students to the study of religion and politics in Latin America from classic and Foucauldian perspectives. The course was part of the Open Studies Program of the above Institute and also part of the collaborative work carried out thanks to the Erasmus Teaching Agreement between the above Spanish institution and Stockholm University’s Institute of Latin American Studies. With this activity, the Institute of Latin American Studies contributes to the global debates on Latin America and strengthens its ties with higher education institutions across Europe.
