Guidelines to submit your contribution
Iberoamericana is a Nordic Journal, open to researchers all over the world, devoted to scientific work on Latin America and the Caribbean. The Journal is multidisciplinary and welcomes contributions from the social and humanistic sciences. Please read the following submission guidelines before submitting your contribution by e-mail to the addresses stated at the end of this page.
Articles, in English, Spanish or Portuguese, should be original contributions, not previously published, and not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. The article should not exceed the equivalent of 25 typewritten pages. All articles must have a 200 word abstract in both English and Spanish.
Notes should appear separately at the end of the text. Bibliography should be given in full after the notes and listed in alphabetical order starting with the surnames of authors, for example:
Brunsson, Nils and Bengt Jacobsson (2000), A World of Standards. New York: Oxford University Press.
Evans, Peter (1997), “State Structures, Government-Business Relations, and Economic Transformation”, in Silvia Maxfield and Ben Ross Schneider (eds.) Business and the State in Developing Countries. Ithaca: Cornell University Press.
Amsden, Alice H. (1979), “Taiwan’s Economic History. A Case of Etatisme and Challenge to Dependency Theory”, Modern China 5(3):341-380.
A very short biographical sketch describing the author’s present affiliation, research area and one recent publication should also be enclosed along with the manuscript. All manuscripts will be refereed. Once received, no further corrections will be permitted. The Editor is entitled to introduce subtitles in lengthy parts of an article in order to facilitate easy reading.
Book reviews are also welcome and should not exceed 5 typed pages. Manuscripts, editorial correspondence, book reviews, advertisement and subscription orders should be directed to the addresses below.
Instrucciones a los autores
Iberoamericana es una revista nórdica abierta a investigadores de todo el mundo dedicados al estudio de los problemas de América Latina y el Caribe. La revista es multidisciplinaria y, como tal, acepta contribuciones en las áreas de las ciencias sociales y humanísticas. Por favor, lea las siguientes instrucciones a los autores antes de enviar su colaboración a las direcciones que figuran al pie de página.
Los artículos que se remitan a la revista para su eventual publicación deberán ser inéditos y estar escritos en español, portugués o inglés, no aceptándose contribuciones que estén siendo consideradas simultáneamente por otras publicaciones. Los artículos no pueden exceder una extensión máxima equivalente a 25 páginas. En todos los casos, deberá enviarse un resumen del artículo de no más de 200 palabras en inglés y español.
Las notas deberán aparecer al final del texto. Las referencias bibliográficas deberán figurar después de las notas, ordenadas alfabéticamente por apellido del autor y con un formato acorde al ejemplo que se proporciona en la versión inglesa de estas instrucciones. Adjunte, finalmente, una breve descripción autobiográfica incluyendo la presente afiliación del autor, su área de investigación y los datos de alguna publicación reciente.
Todos los manuscritos serán sometidos en forma anónima a la consideración de especialistas independientes. Una vez recibido el original del trabajo no se aceptaran nuevas correcciones salvo las que indique el editor a sugerencia de los especialistas externos. El editor se reserva, sin embargo, el derecho a introducir subtítulos y otras modificaciones no sustanciales que faciliten la lectura del artículo.
Las reseñas bibliográficas deberán tener una extensión máxima de cinco páginas. Los manuscritos, las reseñas y la correspondencia editorial, así como las solicitudes de suscripción y avisos deberán ser remitidos a las siguientes direcciones:
